Simple Beauty…

The Mason Jar has become wildly popular at weddings, and I can see why! This trend can be used as a centerpiece, drinking glass, wedding favor, or even as part of a chandelier. There are many different ways to utilize and embellish a Mason Jar, and that is what makes this fad so popular. Below are a few exquisite and creative photos of how to incorporate Mason Jars into your wedding day!

A Little Bit of Mystery…

Veils, in general, are making a huge comeback in the bridal world. There was a slump of time where many brides chose to go without one. We are now seeing many brides revert back to this classic tradition, each choosing a different type of veil. Bird cage, shoulder length, elbow length, finger tip, and alas, the fabulous cathedral veil (which happens to be my favorite). If you are unsure about a veil, I would start with the ever so timeless bird cage. It’s very easy to wear, and in my opinion looks the best with an elegant bun. There are also many different kinds to choose from. Some are single or double layered, some have crystals or pearls along the edges, scattered beading, and some even have a gorgeous hat or clip on the top to add an extra something.   Here are a few tips when choosing a bird cage veil:

  • When you try one on, ask a sales associate for help. They will be able to show you different ways to place the veil to ensure it graces your face correctly
  • When trying on the bird cage, remember that ultimately the veil will fall across your face smoothly. Many of the veils have not been freshly steamed, and that makes all the difference
  • Try to have a hairstyle in mind that you would be wearing on your wedding day. It really helps get an idea of whether or not you think it would be a practical look for you and the gown you have chosen
  • If you feel the veil is too plain, remember that you can always add a feather fascinator or a gorgeous crystal comb to “spice” the look up a bit.
  • And remember, --- they look so chic in wedding photos! ;) (just a bonus!!)

Below are some photos that prove how stunning and elegant bird cage veils truly are.

So What If You’re Freezing…

When planning a wedding, it is exciting for the Bride to pick a season to get married in. Themes, colors, centerpieces; it is all so thrilling. I personally, have always admired the winter season. Not only because it’s not a common season to get married in, but the idea of blankets of glistening snow, all white centerpieces with flickering candles, and beautiful winter floral bouquets makes my heart beat a little faster. Ah, I can picture it all so clearly in my mind. Below are photos of winter weddings that are just downright fabulous!
