Tasty Delights…

I have always thought that wedding cakes were not only of course delicious, but absolutely gorgeous. I can’t even imagine the work that goes into creating them. The colors, the shaping, and the intricate details; wedding cakes are truly a work of art. I usually always prefer bold looks and statements, but when it comes down to the design of a wedding cake, I prefer a simpler look. I enjoy a soft palette of colors, with maybe just a splash of something a bit more daring. However, in my search of elegant wedding cakes, I did come across a few BOLD cakes that I thought were totally jaw dropping, and have also included them in the photos below.

Bride of the Golden Globes?...

 I caught a bit of the Golden Globes last night. I completely missed the red carpet, however, and that is usually the only part I even watch. So I decided to continue to watch just to see the gowns. As Kristen Bell approached the stage I completely freaked! I instantly messaged my sister saying “Kristen Bell is wearing a bridal gown!!! That’s a Jenny Packham gown, I know it!” I was absolutely so excited to see her in this piece, even though it is a bridal gown from Bridal Fashion Week. If you are a follower of my blog, you would remember me blogging back in October about the Jenny Packham line from Bridal Fashion Week, and how great her collection was. This particular dress that Kristen Bell was wearing last night was actually my favorite piece from the Jenny Packham line, and one of my ultimate dream gowns. J

A Symbol of Celebration…

I have always loved anything that sparkled. I am a true girly girl that admires glitter, diamonds, sequins, crystals, beading…. if it sparkles, I adore it! With that being said, I love the idea of sparklers at a wedding. Not only are they such a great idea for the bride and grooms grand exit, but lit up in the night sky, sparklers exert so much beauty. Even though this is a very popular idea, sparklers are a classic touch to a wedding that will not be getting old anytime soon.
